Better than the cheap Chinese ones out there

Great price …. but ultimately i've found I rarely use there types of docks (I've had many) …. fiddly to insert and means the phone is very difficult/impossible to use whilst charging . Makes the standard micro usb cable comparatively convenient!

Thant said, for $5, you could cut the cable off and remove the usb insert, and have a nice solid universal stand.

  • Open box?

  • Does anyone know if these quick charge? Doubt it because these were meant for the S4

    • couldn't see anything in the specs so I assume not.

I've got one and if you plug it into a quick charger it will quick charge the phone. It doesn't come with a charger, you have to supply your own.

        • What phone brand do you have?

        • good point, it's only a usb cable in a dock not the power supply

          @hogwarts:

I used mine with a Galaxy Note 4 connected to the Samsung quick charger that came with the phone also used it with a Blackberry Priv. The dock is essentially just a micro usb cable. It's what charger you plug it into that counts.

This doesn't come with a transformer, as mentioned in the description.

  • shows 2 for 10 in cart

    • If you read the description, the 2 pack is a separate item. And its out if stock now anyway.

Thanks! Just bought four. My previous one was stolen at work LOL!

  • support samsung fast charging?

    • +1

That would be up to your power adaptor, which this plugs into.

      • +1

i see this is just a dock

    Thanks OP, bought 2.

I bought one of these a few months ago from shopping express and it did not work.

    • +4

But why neg… unless Shopping Express did not offer a reasonable solution?

    • It's still under warranty, so was there an issue with the seller not providing a solution?

      • +3

I didn't try to return it - it was only a few $ and I didn't think the return postage would make it worthwhile. I had bought it with a bunch of other stuff and all up I still got a decent deal even without the charger. OK you're right, I can't neg unless I tried to return it and wasn't able to.

        • +2

Thanks for sharing your experience, and especially for removing your neg and owning it

          Edit: missed word

Looks great. Damn the moronic decision to offset the USB port on some phones like my redmi note 3 so I can't use this and heaps of other generic devices.

    Thanks OP

Grabbed 2!! Thank you very much :D

  • Will never buy from ShoppingExpress again. Emailed them for an RMA form on numerous occasions to return a MicroSD card and I am yet to receive a reply. Email was sent to [email protected] in case anyone is wondering. Unbelievable.

Did you claim through PayPal / your credit card?

      • No, I bought it a couple of years ago, but my understanding is they have lifetime warranty.

        • Couldn't you deal with the manufacturer directly? I think its really unfair to deal with the shop for a lifetime warranty product. I know it says somewhere in consumer legislation, but if I had a shop and had to deal with products years down the track, I wouldn't be so into it…

        • @fuzor: OK, so the shop should just ignore the consumer? Would you still feel that way if it was Harvey Norman or JB Hifi? I have purchased many items from Shopping Express in the past and this is the only one I am trying to claim warranty on. Never again.

        • @citybargainhunter: What was the actual product/model? Would be curious to see if the warranty is truly lifetime.

        • @Clear: It's a Sandisk Ultra MicrosSDHC Class 10 32GB (red/grey). I have checked Sandisk's website and it's got lifetime warranty, but that's besides the point really, regardless how long the warranty period is the retailer whom I purchased the item from would always be my first point of contact, and IMO it is not right for the retailer to ignore their customer. It's simply bad customer service.

        • @citybargainhunter: You're right about that. I'd go to SanDisk and try to get them to replace it or a return authorisation for SE. I know you shouldn't have to but if they're ignoring you there isn't much more you can do.

  • No good for Nexus 5, usb port wrong orientation

    Got 4, thanks.

    Bought 2 thanks

  • +1

Damn sold out! I have the tablet version of this, adjustable usb plug.

    Awesome solid dock

  • Mine arrived the other day and I've just started using it.
    Quick review:

    • I have a Moto X Style so it sticks out quite a bit on the sides.
    • The case I had wouldn't fit with the connector so I had to remove it (then put it back on when I take my phone with me I guess).
    • The phone is a bit wobbly on the dock.

All that said, for $5, can't complain.
