Advice on Fujitsu Rev Split Sys Unit

Hi all,

First time poster here…

I was just wondering what you all think of the below Fujitsu Air Conditioner unit.

Fujitsu C7.1kW H8.0kW Rev Split Sys with WiFi SET-ASTG24KMCB at $1799 from The Good Guys. (I have managed to get this for $1550 which I believe is an amazing price). I have only paid a deposit atm. I could not find this in their eBay page and online page advises to purchase in store only. It looks good and comes with WiFi connectivity which is $4 more than the one without WiFi, but I am unsure of the unit itself, as I believe only TGG and some online retailers sell it, possibly due to being new or not good?

I am more interested into the energy savings, although I believe bigger units are pretty low in the star ratings. It has 2.5 cooling and 3 star heating ratings.

I believe 5kW is enough for me but have decided to stick to 7.1kW.

  • In public housing with approved work to go ahead
  • Not looking to move out any time soon
  • Area is around 30sqm but hoping to push through to dining and kitchen.

I have managed to secure an installer for ~$700 through HiPages.

What do you guys think of this unit? Anyone own one and what has your experience been, esp with the WiFi connectivity?

Please let me know what you guys think.

Thanks in advance!

  • Hi,

The ASTG24KMCB is also on offer from Bing Lee and Applicance Central and $1550 is a great price…

This Fujitsu was one of many Air Conditioners reviewed by Choice Magazine in 2017 (so go look at the Review at your Local Library).

I'm totally happy with my Fujutsu although I don't have WiFi.

    • Hi,

      Thanks for your feedback.

I agree the price is great compared to its sale price elsewhere at the moment.

I found several review sites but seemed no actual reviews were made on the unit.

It'll be first unit for us so we're hoping it'll be a good purchase, esp with the heat coming.

Thanks again for your input :)

Just bought this unit for $1547 using eGift Cards which reduced it to $1469. Amazing price!! Hoping to have it installed this week
