  • What is the deal here. What is its normal price

    • +12

If I ever paid $136 for 2kg of protein powder, I think I would have a heart attack.

      • +8

        Most likely fart attack.

  • So this really isn't a good deal?

    • +1

It's a pretty good price (comparable to Bulk Nutrients) but not as good as the 'original price' would have you think. Was $139 is absurd for 2kg of protein powder.

    • +2

$25/kg is pretty much the normal price you should get WPC protein for, Venom, bulk nutrients, bulk powders are all around that price.

  • Ingredients
Extreme Whey Protein Blend [Whey Protein Concentrate and Whey Protein Isolate (90.42%)]
    Cacao Powder (4.9%)
    Chocolate Flavour (4%)
    Xanthan Gum (0.5%)
    Silicon Dioxide (0.1%)
    Sucralose (0.08%)

Contains milk, soya beans, sulphites and their products.

Serving size is 40grams which has 30 grams of protein.
Wonder how much percentage is WPI to WPC.

    • Hmm yeah. 75% protein by weight isn't very good. Especially if it's mostly WPC at $25 per kg.

  • And then 7.5% off with this coupon from here … https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/353344

    • That's true, but it's not a good deal anyway.

  • +2

Prefer bulk nutrients protein matrix which is a wpi wpc blend and same price everyday of the year

    • +2

Plus you can mix and match flavors

      • +1

Exactly you are not locked into just one flavour that is why I only buy bn or on whey(if it's on special)

      • mind if to share where you get them from?

newbie on protein. bought the INC protein half price $15 in CWH last week - powder doesn’t melt and clog up like glue, don’t really like to try another serve. Wasted,
The protein from youfoodz dissolved nicely, but probably can’t compare to what the serious stuff is?!

        • +1

Look into Venom protein which is $25/kg for WPC or Bulk Nutrients are also good.

        • +2

https://www.bulknutrients.com.au/ or just google VPA . Both only sell direct through their own web shop, have to order a decent amount to get a good price / free shipping.

My go-to protein before I started using Bulk Nutrients was Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey. It was over 80 percent protein by weight and had the best taste and solubility. It's a blend but majority WPI.

I'm actually finishing off an old bucket of choc peanut butter right now. Very tasty.

If you're new to training, don't worry about WPI versus WPC. In fact you might not even need any extra protein in your diet …

        • @kickling: Mmm I used to live off the ON choc mint before switching to the cheaper bulk flavours, can't justify that extra cost increase no matter how much like a paddle pop it tasted like :P

        • +1

@domingochavez: yeah i only ever bought it on clearance or in the 10lb dog food bags. Worked out not bad at around $26 per kg for something that tasted good.
