Suggestions for getting replacement battery into Australia?

Hey guys

I have a Samsung s5 that's doing well enough but it needs a new battery. I've tried ebay before but turned out to be cheap and nasty.

I've seen a couple in the US/UK that I wouldn't mind getting but none of them ship to Australia and all the freight forwarding services that I looked at won't do it either.

Only solution I can see is to pay a premium from US ebay which I'd prefer not to do

Any ideas on how to buy one at a normal price and then have it shipped to Aus?

It looks like a genuine Samsung battery is not expensive - I would just buy this and not worry about complicated international shipping:

    • Thanks for the advice. However I was under the impression that genuine samsung batteries for s5 weren't being made any more. And the comments make me suspicious that these are indeed knock offs. No packaging and different markings etc.

Battery World sell it for $54.95. Might be worth checking if there is a local store that has it?

Edit - pantsparty beat me to it with a better price!

Also, Samsung now has retail stores so that might be worth a try if you have any local to you.

Have you considered purchasing one whilst overseas and smuggling it back into the county in a body cavity?

  • I would not spend more than $15-$20 for s5 battery.
