Wine Gift Recommendation

Hey guys,

I need to buy some gifts for colleagues who have helped me a lot last 12 months. Looking to spend about $20 per bottle of wine. Was thinking I could get a dozen at /www.getwinesdirect.com using amex cash back to reduce overall cost. Will keep extra bottles to drink or gift later.

TBA I always struggle with knowing what to buy for a gift. Any suggestions

thanks

    $20 / btl

They didn't help you much then?

    • Getting for about 8 people. So thought 20-30.
They all helped in small ways but together greatly

One Road Shiraz from Aldi. Don't let the price fool you.

  • For gifts, and not knowing what types of wine each person may like, I recommend choosing a label that people may recognise (and hopefully appreciate).
Check out the major retailers (Dan Murphy, Vintage Cellars, etc) for specials and look for brands such as Penfolds, Wynns Coonawarra. Should be able to find some in the $20-30 range, plus further discounts should apply for 6+ bottles.
As a more specific suggestion, have a look for 'Tar & Roses'. They make a really good Pinot Grigio ($16 or so) and a few different reds ($16 - $30) that are more than acceptable.

  • If it's just a simple gift, or as in this occasion few ppl, Aldi has some great offer and u can find quite good qualities for that price. If not, maybe a tour of a canteen or a vineyard is a good gift for wine lovers, but u ll have to check prices dou

    • Thanks for a good answer. Canteen? What do you mean?
