Hi fellow OzBargainers,
Few times I tried to compare my energy rates with compare to find the best offer. I find few of those questions unnecessary. Even after entering accurate details including those un-necessary questions, When I go to the actual rates for the top pick it is worst than my current rates in every aspect. My take is that either its assumptions are unrealistic or the energy retails know how to manipulate the data to get to the top without being the best offer.
Do you believe it provides genuine offers?
Utterly useless. Try entering your details again but this time enter your details as if you were on the top result on your previous search and they'll tell you you'll be better off switching. How????
It is manipulated in some way by ignoring some discounts that you currently get but it doesn't calculate. You can be worse off by switching from what is a top tariff to a worse tariff.
