Etihad Guest Member with Linked Flybuys Account - Please Read and Help a Brother

Hi Ozbargainers, I want to find out from any of our members how many of you are Etihad Guest members and also have FlyBuys.
Have you linked your FlyBuys to your Etihad Guest account to earn Etihad Tier Miles?
Have you been getting you FlyBuys earned Tier Miles credited to your Etihad Guest account since their website upgrade around September/October last year?

    Flybuys/Etihad partnership suspended

    Apparently supposed to still be earning if was linked previously, but maybe there are issues.

    (To answer the question, no, not linked to Etihad.)

    • Thanks for that. It is the Tier Miles bit that I'm interested in. FlyBuys website confirms that members still earn toward Etihad Tier Miles. That is the valuable portion of the deal

  • Tried to sign up to Etihad Guest, but some kind of error when you verify email. Has anyone else been able to sign up lately?

    My Etihad account has the Etihad Guest number listed under the Flybuys field. Poor form on Etihad and they still haven't fixed it.

    • Hey, looks like there has been some progress.
      Points have been credited - when you get a chance take a look if yours have been done.
      Etihad Guest number still in FlyBuys field so will be interesting to see what happens at beginning of Feb !

        Yes, would be interesting seeing what they do at the end of this month!

  • I have contacted Flybuys and Etihad about this issue a number of times over the last few months. As has been mentioned, the partnership has been suspended but tier miles should still be earned on accounts which are already linked. I have not received any tier miles since last September. The latest response I received from Flybuys 3 weeks ago as follows:

    "Unfortunately, the Etihad Guest Tier Miles issue has not yet been resolved. Our support team have advised that it should be adjusted within 2 weeks. We apologise for the delay in this situation and hope to have a resolution shortly."

    • Just checked my Etihad Guest account - Tier miles have now been credited n the last few days for Oct and Nov so it would appear to be up and running again.

      • Yes, sorry - didn't get a chance to update.
        I called Etihad again last week and finally got on to someone who seemed to care. She understood the issue and I explained that it affected all members with FlyBuys.
        It got fixed the next day.
        The only thing though is that in my profile in the linked Flybuys section it still shows my Etihad Guest number where my FlyBuys number should be.
        I'll check again at beginning of Feb to see if Miles earned in January are automatically credited.
