[Urgent] Booking.com Cancellation Policy - Is It Free in This Case?

Hi all,

I booked a hotel earlier today but stupidly I forgot about the booking.com active deal and Cashrewards! I booked using mobile.
The hotel/fare says it's non-refundable, i.e. if I cancel I get charged full.
However, I noticed when I go to the confirmed booking, on the right hand side under "Is everything correct?", it says "Cancel for Free for the next 14 hours"

So… does it mean I can cancel and won't get charged or what?

    If it says Cancel For Free, it looks like free cancellation to me regardless of hotel cancellation condition.
    I remember airlines in the US has something similar cancel because of mistake in the first 24 hours.

  • I've had "Cancel up to 1800 today" for the same day of check in. Ridiculous but i'm not complaining! haha

    Why don't you just call booking.com to make sure it is free cancellation within a certain time.

  • Screenshot everything before clicking, just in case you need to argue the point later. I would capture the T&C’s too.
