ALDI Soundbar, Any Good?

was in ALDI today and was surprised they still had 3 of the 75" screens
also noticed the soundbars that were in the catalogue.

I've got an old tv (probably ~10years) and only realised how bad the audio is when I tried to watch an episode of QI that I would usually watch on my PC.
I was contemplating using them as a cheap upgrade, or am I better off with something higher quality?

was just wondering if anyone has bought them to try out or has previous models or even just a general opinion.

I bought the Bauhn sound bar and connected it to an LG TV using HDMI and it turns on when I turn on the TV which allows me the use of the LG magic remote to control both sound bar and TV. The Bluetooth connection works well and sound quality is probably better than my TV speakers. I am happy and it cost only $80, can’t expect more for the price. You can always return it if it does not meet your expectations.

  • I was just about to ask the same question.
This is the link to the product: http://www.bauhn.com.au/product-listing/2-0-channel-soundbar…

I want to spend approximately $100 so is this the best way to go or is there a better quality product?

  • I would always recommend at least trying out a decent set of PC speakers, preferably 2.1 or a mini hifi system.

Its not as nice looking but many people can hide a small set of spks and a sub on their TV cabinet.

I tried out a Big W or Target type soundbar and although it was a HEAP better than the sound out of the Chinese tv, they pale against even a mid range set of Logitech 2.1s…
