I got the coles credit card when they had the promo of interest free purchases for 18 months. That period is almost over, and was wondering if anyone here has experience getting the interest free promo extended in exchange for holding onto the account? Or are things very rigid there? I don't mind paying it back, but if i could get another year extension, it would help my investments.

If you don't spend any money on it for a few months they offer something like 2k Flybys points for spending $500. Thats about 2% back which works out about the same as amex, plus you could use where they don't take amex.
Just do a balance transfer to another card offering an interest free period.
