  • Seems like there's a 3 Piece Pack cheaper in-store. (125ml EDT, Shower Gel, After Shave).

      yeah.. thnx .i saw that earlier but it says "Temporarily Low Stock Online - Please Try Your Local Store" so didn't post this.. but its good to give a try at local store for this

      • Their website nearly always shows that if a fragrance deal is good. They don't want to mail it, they want you visiting the store.

  • im pretty sure i paid less than this instore, like 60 bucks

    Been this price for months. I dont even think the price expired from the previous deal

    • Their eBay store is a good way to check the price history, as they aren't listed on price hipster. It shows that the price hasn't changed since September last year. Nice deal, however it seems to be the standard price at CW

    • I am sure the product expired though! ;-) Do people still buy this? Way too loud unless someone wants to be that Cologne guy at work!

      • Better than smelling BO all day long. Not sure where you are but where I am I start sweating after walking out of the house at 7am and every time I walked out of the office.

      • Probably putting on too much. It was this price in early and late december as i did check.

    Has anyone felt that the perfumes bought from chemist warehouse last way less than a perfume bought from, let's say Myers?

    Has happened to me twice… the fragrance just doesn't last…

    • I have heard other people say that.

      Placebo

      I bought the Issey Miyake for my dad and myself before, mine only last about a hour or two. My dad's last very long, so it's like buying a lottery ticket from Chemist Warehouse.

      All perfumes have a shelf life, and when they are getting close to their expiry, (or rather when the fragrance fades quicker) they are offloaded cheaper.
      Chemist Warehouse will buy them in bulk, and sell them on, without mentioning the perfumes are close to expiring.
      This is similar to a lot of online perfume warehouses where you can buy top fragrances cheaper.

      Myers etc, won't touch anything that is close to expiry, because it's not worth the grief for them. Perfumes are supposed to last for several years, not months

      Nothing wrong with it, as long as you're aware of the caveats

      • Is there a way to know if the shelf life of the perfume is expired or near to expiry?

        • +3

          Yes, you can even check the month & year it got manufactured as per my comment in a previous deal;

          you can check the date of manufacture for your fragrance here http://m.checkcosmetic.net/ you will find the batch code at the bottom (most bottles)

          E.g. I recently purchased an Acqua di Gio from Myer, this is what it showed;

          Date of manufacture:
          May 2017
          General shelf life: 36 months
          Valid at least for the next 28 months

    • EDT vs Parfum?

      • EDT for men
        Parfum for women

        That’s my understanding

    I stopped buying cologne from CW. I got lucky once with Cool Water when the scent lasted an entire day. Subsequently bought three more bottles and the scent died after an hour. Landed up binning them. Would have been cheaper just buying from Myer and less hassle
