Connection Issues with Yeelight

I bought yeelight rgb e27 fromi gearbest.I have been trying to connect to wifi but its not connecting.i have tried troubleshooting guide from websites but its own wifi is not even connecting to phone.i have tried on s7 egde.does anyone got the same problem.is there any otherway. thanks in advance

  • ensure your MiHome app setting is set to Mainland and not any other location. You will need to set this up for Mainland and you can change this later.

    • Also works on Singapore server, which you need if you want Google Home integration.

    • hi.thnx.i tried to change server to mainland,the language changes to mandarin or chineses.

  • I had connection issues because of network name. Special characters not allowed in wifi network name for xiaomi products. Not sure about yeelight…

    Make sure you're using a 2.4 and not a 5Ghz WiFi frequency.

  • I use the Yeelight app instead of my home. Alot more features available. If you have multiple lights in the room. Yoy can link the lights so they change brightness or colour in sync. Also set to Singapore server

  • still getting connection timeout.when changing server to mainland china,language changes.cant understand whats it asking for.
