Toll Pricing Caps in Victoria

Hey ozbargainers, i need some help clarifying tolls in Victoria.

I've heard if you travel on a certain stretch of tolls in one direction and then take the reverse of that route within 24hours you are not charged again for the tolls.
The only toll caps I can find on the CityLink website refer to an uninterrupted trip implying you get charged on the way there and the way back for tolls. I can't find any mention of the reverse trip being described in their website details.

So the situation I'm in is I drive from the Westgate through the tunnels and down the M1 in the morning. If I do the reverse after work on the afternoon am I charged for 1 trip or both?

Thank you

I travel to work from SE suburbs and use the toll. Always get charged both ways.

The only way to get a 24 hour cap is to purchase a daily pass - but there is a limit to how many of these you can purchase in a year.

Yeah not right… Unless you have a day pass, a 'toll trip' is ONE DIRECTION.

So the trip to work is one way/trip cap, the trip home is another.
