    Newbie question, could you just plug the monitor in to wall and have one usb-c cable going to your laptop which does display and charges the laptop?

        With the caveat that if you run the monitor at 4K there's only enough bandwidth for USB 2.0 data.

      Freesync at any refresh rate should eliminate screen tearing within the monitors refresh rate (eg. 40-60hz) without needing v-sync.

    Yes, this is a decent deal. I like the USB and the looks.
    If you are on a budget and can do without the USB, Bing-Lee have the LGUD58 4K (slightly lower brightness), for $475 (eBay with the 5% code, but has been lower).
    For under $500, it's still a damn good 4K monitor and excellent for Photoshop.

    Good looking monitor, though if someone is after a gaming monitor that utilises FreeSync ASUS MG279Q 27" 2K IPS Monitor 144Hz is 690.72 from futuregear though I think people aren't happy with futuregear as a seller or something.
