poor diddums so is my iphone x, don't see me complaining.

  • E480 released not more than a month ago? As it's also not a very fashionable laptop, you may need to look for DIY custom skins from Aliexpress or eBay.

  • Try not to touch the laptop while eating oily foods?

  • This has always been the case with the E series laptop with the plastic top. If you want to fix this, you should've upgraded to a metal top which usually comes with the FHD screen. I have the e470 and i personally decided to skin my laptop because it looks really bad with the fingerprints

    • I order 14.0" FHD IPS (1920x1080) AntiGlare model only. Can you able to find a skin with ThinkPad logo cut .?

      • Still a fairly new model. Skin should appear on ebay shortly. Try Aliexpress too

  • Yeah I have the same problem with my e470 + the annoying fan behaviour :/

    Solid laptop spec-wise tho

    • I got a skin off ebay for mine and it is so much better than having those oil marks. It was only $27 and the cut outs were perfect!

I didn't have any fan issues but if you do and still have warranty, get it fixed as lenovo can be persuaded into fixing anything you think is malfunctioning. I've had my touchpad replaced (upper frame because they sent it by accident + keyboard because frame was slightly different), and a new battery

      • Yeah it still has warranty and I will probably try to get it fixed. It's just that the fan starts spinning for 5 seconds every minute even when just browsing the web (or even when I do nothing at all with it)

        • Wait does it start spinning or spins at full speed? If it just starts spinning for 5 seconds that is fine. It's just stopping because the cpu is cool enough and turns on momentarily until the cpu cools down again
