I’ve just been charged a $60 remote connection fee for my electricity from my provider for moving into a new property.
I find this ludicrous. Surely a remote connection room doesn’t require such a hefty fee.
Has anyone had similar charges?

How long did the installation take? 10min?
I don't think there is an installation time. You can give them a time when you want it switched on.
I have faced the charge a couple of times.
Perhaps I've just been slugged with too many fees in my life, because my immediate thought was 'not bad'.
No thats what they charge to setup your account, enable the power etc. Move on.
I already had an account. I had just moved houses.
same same, new house, still requires setup, enabling etc, billing changes etc.
cost me more than double that 6 months ago.
Yes
