Sydney - London in Mid-April

I'm planning a 2-week trip to London from Sydney. Wouldn't mind flying to London and flying back from Glasgow, but return fares are cheaper…so London return it is!

Does anybody have any tips that I'd bash myself for not being aware of?

Just checking Webjet right now and a Qantas return costs round about $1250 (about 22-25 hours each way).

Should I wait for a better deal or does anyone know how I can get a cheaper flight?

Also, any other UK travel tips?

Glasgow or Dublin to visit?

Thanks all! :)

  • i few to europe in etihad business for 5K 2 weeks before xmas
try looking how much it is on KLM.com

    • Wow, I wouldn't touch Business. Can't touch it. haha

The cheapest I can find on KLM is over $1800 for an Economy return…

  • Check out qatar airways, they have good deals. I know the fly cheap to Dublin, if that is a possibility.

Could also fly scoot to Berlin for approx 700 and then onto London, and back to Berlin via Glasgow.

Or maybe Norwegian airlines from Singapore to Gatwick

, if u give exact dates I'll look.

    • Thanks Uncle Snake!

Right now, let's say 21 April to 5 May.
The cheapest I can find on Qatar Airways is $1390.98 total for a return.

Funny, I could've sworn the exact same Qantas flight was $50 cheaper an hour ago when I checked! It's now $1296.

      • +1

        prices change constantly
i saw that when i booked, if i checked in the morning around 10am it was $5022 each, if i looked after midday it was $5122, if i looked at night it was around $5500, then the next day in the morning it was back down at $5022

        • I thought it was related to my cookies and was going to try at another computer.

I'll keep an eye out then. Sheesh, it's like petrol prices.

      • Ifly has flights for 1170 with emirates or Vietnam airways. Flight center would price match it too as is an aussie sight

        Or
Norwegian flies from Singapore to Gatwick for 500 bucks from 21st to 4th. Just have to get to Singapore but I’d get there a day earlier

        I’d go emirates

  • In general if u can get a cheap flight from Ozland to Dublin or Manchester u can then fly out to say Manchester to Glasgow or Plymouth with the cheap airlines like Ryanair.
Flying into Heathrow is expensive and gastly!
