Higher grade (e61) home coffee machines

See a lot of deals come and go on Breville gear… Where do people go if they want a deal on something along the lines of an E61 heat exchanger coffee machine?

I bought a Rocket. The thing goes like a ferrari with NOS

    • I love the Rockets. They are gorgeous machines to look at even if you don't make coffee with them! Been waiting for a deal on them for the last 6 months, but everywhere seems to be regular price.

Did you also find that there is little variance in pricing when you purchased? Or manage to get yours in a deal?

  • Coffeesnobs has a forum for second hand machines. Ebay/gumtree sometimes have good deals, especially on commercial machines (beware some need a 15A socket)
Science-teacher is correct about sponsors on coffeesnobs. Some of them have occasional sales as well, so can keep an eye out

  • Good luck, I've never seen any of these on sale. When I bought mine a couple of places had them on ebay, but can't see the couple of models I just searched any more, so no chance of the % off everything sales there. I have one of these: http://www.cuadra.com.au/ appear to be around $2200 now. Was $1950 when I got it. Best bet is to go into a physical store and see if you can negotiate a bit of a discount.

  • Call Segafredo and ask if they have any Profitec machines on display for you to come and see. I work for Jetblack in Sydney and we import the Profitec machines. They're excellent. In the same league as Rocket and ECM Manufacture. If you want more information, feel free to DM me.

  • I have been looking at ECM, Rocket or Profitec HX machines although not many deals out. Maybe eBay site-wide 20% if you get lucky

They are all so close in quality and features, For me it comes down to finding local for good service.

PM me, We might be able to find a local Perth supplier to give discounts buying at the same time
