Android TV's what's the best & most reliable atm

I'm in the market for a android TV 55“ or larger.
I know you can just put a android box on Any TV but I would prefer one remote.
So I ask, currently what's the best android TV for a fair price?
I know TCL has some Android models but I never used one, I would like to get a opinion on thisif you have one.
I have tried the Sony, it was good but,it had some lagging issues. Can these be overcome?
Don't know of any others so please share if you do.
Thanks in advance

I've found that Android TV inbuilt in most TVs have really poor hardware. Anything particular you're wanting to use it for? Chromecast is often a good alternative.

Proper Android TV boxes should be flooding out China this year since Amlogic will now only provide Dev tools for Android TV and not the phone/tablet version of Android.

  • Mainly streaming kodi etc

  • Yes.

Xiaomi mibox international comes with a blutooth remote. It works ok will my logitech harmony remote - so get multiple devices and a single remote. TVs dont get regular updates after a while, much better strategy would be to have something you can plug in.

My Sony Bravia is an Android tv and I love it.
    Works without fail every time.
And now I have a google mini I don’t even need to pick up my remote to turn it on or browse YouTube lmao. (Maybe that’s why I am a fatty lol)

But yeah the Sony android tvs are great…. but probably pricy compared to tcl etc.
