Woolworths Rewards Selecting Cash Discount Option Rather than Qantas Points, Does That Require Higher Spend?

I have been collecting Qantas points using my Woolies Rewards card. I have now changed over to Cash discounts from Woolies. I have accumulated $10 worth of points in last shop which presumably automatically comes off next shop I do. So this week I have an offer to spend $50 to get $15 off. Given I have accumulated $10 worth of points in last shop, does this mean I now have to spend $60 this week as the $10 will come off this week too? Anyone with experiences out there? If so doesn't that mean this reward redemption requires higher spend then Qantas Points?

You can choose to bank the $10 for Christmas so that it doesn't come off your next shop.

  • Now that is a good idea. Will try to work out how. Thanks love Ozbargain. Always shoppers smarter than me on there to help!

If you redeem money off your shop using Woolworths Rewards it calculates your total spend (and thus any bonus points) before it takes off any WR money.

Redeeming for cash is considered just a method of payment, not an 'offer or discount'. If that makes sense.
