Mobile with the fastest 4G connection / processor?

Hi all,

I game on my mobile and experience lag sometimes when using 4g, and every second matters! I am looking for the mobile phone with the fastest 4g speeds, I believe this is controlled by the on board modem / 4g processor?

Does anyone know where I can find this information or have any recommendations?

Cheers!

    no

you lag because of high ping

try speedtest the ping on your 4g

    can't be improved

that's why ppl still prefer landline internet for gaming

    2ms vs 50ms

I've found that Optus's dual-connected 4G (what they brand as "4G+") is the fastest we have in Australia.
Direct alternative is Telstra's 4GX which is actually slower.
    Vodafone's Standard 4G is much slower than Telstra's 4GX and Optus 4G+.

Any relatively new phone will have a super-fast LTE radio.
In fact, there won't be any speed differences between say the slowest HiSilicon LTE radio and the fastest Qualcomm LTE radio because the bottleneck is at the LTE-Provider's side.

4G connection will not affect your gaming performance.
….unless you are gaming from the cloud (ie Nvidia Grid, PS Now, Steam VPN, Home Server etc etc). And if you are Cloud Gaming, well, have fun with all the frustrations of it all, because even if the device you use is super-fast and the server is super-fast (with wide bandwidth) and everything is good…. the high-latency (ie Ping) is going to break immersion constantly as your button mashes don't register in time, and some visuals delay on receiving. Just not worth it. Cloud Gaming could work if half of the heavy-lifting was done by your smartphone/tablet/laptop and the world didn't have such a laggy/high-latency internet protocol.
