Beats Solo 3, BeatsX or Powerbeats3?

Hello,

Apple currently have a deal on for students/teachers, laptops are offered at a slightly reduced price and include for free the choice of one of the above three headphones. Powerbeats3 have a terrible review on the Beats website, the other two not so bad. The professional reviews on Solo3 are quite critical of the sound quality, but I'm wondering whether such a casual user as myself would really notice. The reviews also have a go at not having noise cancellation. The BeatsX mention noise isolation, does that mean anything? I'm looking for advice on which one to go for. One is significantly more expensive, will it sound better?

    I'll tell you upfront that I don't know anything about Beats earphones other than they're popular and bloody expensive.

    But if they're free and one is significantly more expensive, I'd take that one, sell it and then use the proceeds to get the one you actually want.

    I'd get whatever is most expensive and sell it, and buy something with better audio for cheaper, and a bottle of bourbon and some change

    Get whatever is the most expensive. Buy some basic Bluedio T2 which go for $30 odd depending on the deal… Do a comparison your self & sell the ones you don't like.. you will make money…
