Dash cam recommendations

Hey all,

Wifey wants a dash cam after a near miss with a careless driver. Do you have any recommendations? Does the xiaomi 70 seconds do the job?

  • A118C Dashcam. It uses a capacitor rather than a battery which makes a difference in our Aussie heat.

Go with the A119 V2 or A119S V2, best quality at a decent price.
The A118C is useless at night.

    • I have the A118C, no problems for me at night.

      What was the issue?

I had no technical issues whatsoever with the A118C, it worked flawlessly through cold and superhot days. Once I upgraded though, I saw the light (literally); and it was worth it.

      • If you have no isues at night, you probably live/drive in a street lit urban area. Outside of that the dash cam night capability is limited.

    • Looking for the A119S but wondering where the cheapest place to buy is please?

  • BlackVue

  • Been using the Xiaomi 70 dashcam and love it. Very sleek and no display makes it no distraction.

  • A119 or G1W-C

  • Do it once and do it right.
    Get a BlackVue.

  • Anyone has the deals for blackVue?

  • I'm new to this, and am only considering because i was in an accident 3.5 weeks ago where somebody drove off and left my car not roadworthy. Do people use cameras at the front and back of their car? I was rear-ended on the m4. I managed to get his number plate, but now the police are taking their time investigating and the insurance company is doing nothing but making me pay my excess till the police get back to them. CTP are also not able to do much until they have his details and he admits fault so a full investigation needs to be done. Pretty over it all. My car wont be ready till at least another 3 weeks sigh
