Eco-Drive means the watch is solar powered, it has a rechargeable battery.
Reports from members in previous deals say that the rechargeable battery is still working in their older eco-drives after 10 years or more.

Excellent prices. The CA0590-58A is $351.30 + $36.82 Postage here.

  • Citizen Eco-Drive AW1231-58E is the black dial, but is it available in Australia?

    • +1

Perhaps not. Here they are sold out so this may be the lowest price with stock.

Is dutyfreeislandshop.com legit? Concerned about the authenticity.

        • +2

Yes. They have a Rep here and post quite often nowadays.

    • I need a deal on Samurai. Make it happen

      • Still too new and it still has hype. Wait a while for prices to come down a bit.

Just checked the Wenger one with black dial. I lost my diesel leather strap watch. I want something to replace that one. what do you guys think

    Thanks WatchNerd.
Amazing prices from an excellent seller, highly recommended.
For those on the fence, jump on one of these two deals as they're really good Eco-Drives to get a collection started off.
Then later you can progress to busy dials such as the Navihawk or Satellite Waves (if that's your style).

Don't forget to get off the fence and plus-vote.

Poor form from me, I deserve another chuck into the penalty box for such bad behaviour.

        Reported myself to the mods.

        • +3

Nah, we'll forgive you this time.

The watch posted here has a Mineral Glass crystal. I would reccomend buying a watch with a Saphire crystal.

Basically speaking, Saphire is the second hardest material in nature and if you keep it away from diamonds it won't get stratched.

While I prefer sapphire, unfortunately, larger watch companies (Seiko, Citizen etc.) like to charge silly premiums for sapphire. These watches are pretty cheap. For sapphire at this price, you need to go either used or for a China watch.
