Kid friendly JetSki

As I understand it, a rule has been introduced in Queensland which says kids can only ride on a JetSki if their feet can reach the foot wells firmly on both sides. Our 7.5 year old just qualifies on our Yamaha 2 seater so the 5 and 3 year olds who used to enjoy it no longer qualify.
Has anyone got a model that has a low seat or a narrow seat that would be suitable for younger kids to ride as passengers?

No offence OP, but this is like asking for a "P Plater friendly' Ferrari vehicle!

Did you hear what happened to the 8 year old drag car racer in WA? She's dead.

  • maybe need something like the kawasaki sx-r or yamaha super jet or one of the other type of stand up jetskis so they can circumvent the law.
To be honest I wouldn't trust a 3 year old to be operating a jetski though, I know you said they have in the past, but the risk is just too high, if they crash you will not be covered by insurance.
also a 3 and 5 year old may hurt themselves or someone else (or even worse) while operating a jetski.
    Please be careful.

Oh,we’d never let the kids operate the JetSki, it’s only for them to be passengers. We never take them in open waters, just the river we live on, which is relatively quiet.

  • So you are one of those people.

Have you thought of upgrading to a Sea-Doo jet boat? A 6+ year old 150 speedster with 4 seats would be ideal in your situation I would think. They are so much more versatile for a family and only a little slower than a PWC. I believe there are plenty available around SEQ.

    • Thanks…I’ll check it out.

  • Since when do jetskiers give a toss about rules?
