This camera is 4 years old and still retains it's price and demand.

  • Well ordered one from Good Guys during the Boxing day promo on 28/12 still haven't received the camera due to no stock.
Finally got a call today saying that they are transferring the order to the head office and shall be dispatched soon :| Hopefully can get before the Sony cash back expires on 14th February.

  • I wonder if I could sell the $100 credit to someone so it comes down to $439

  • And I am travelling out of Australia and able to claim TRS refund, this brings the total down to $405…
    Should I pull the trigger??!?!

    • Definitely!

Can anyone confirm what packaging their device came in? Tags, stickers, clear stickers on the lens and screen etc.
Picked mine up via C&C today
I suspect that mine is a demo unit or a returned unit because:
    1. The battery compartment has scratch marks from the side of the battery
    2. The lens looks like it has been cleaned using an alcohol wipe as it has residual spots
    3. The box itself wasn’t sealed with a sticker
    4. No tags on the camera (APS-C tag and NFC tag which appears in unboxing videos on YouTube)
    5. The software was updated to 3.20 which was released in mid-2016 but the clock was set to 2014 (So the completely dead battery wouldn’t make sense)
    6. The lady at the register laughed at the exact moment she picked up the box.
    7. No ‘new plastic’ smell

    Or maybe I’m just paranoid

Sounds like a returner or old demo
I can recall having sticker seal on main camera box, as for the rest can't recall but battery scratch says it all.

    • Got mine today. Brand new in box with security sticker on.
