Good place in Sydney to install rear dashcam in to Subaru Forester?

Hello,

Can anyone recommend me a good place in Sydney to install rear dashcam in to Subaru Forester?

I will supply my own dashcam and cable and just need for the cable to be routed from the back door in to the central console where it will connect to my power bank.

How much should I expect to pay for this?

Thank you

  • Subaru Forester?

Is there a 12v outlet in the back?

    • Yes, 12v outlet is there.
I am running the camera independent from the car battery.
The camera is mostly used to protect from the parking accidents.

      • Why don't you install the power bank in the back?

    • I have one at the back on the centre glove box where the foot of the middle passenger would be. How would I route the wire to the back window?

  • It will be easily DIY(30 mins work), machanic will charge around $100.

  • do it yourself, its not hard.

    • I did the front one myself.

With the rear one I want to run it via the existing rubber conduit between the rear door and the roof of the car so the cable is not visible.
I am a bit concern with taking apart the rear door.

  • Where about are you and what brand dashcam?

    • Centennial park.
      Dashcam is VIOFO A119S

      • A bit far.

You shouldn't mess with the conduit connections, rather just slip the cable between the roof and the door and let the cable hangs abit. Tho you might need some adhesive clips to hold the cable properly. That's what I did with my Blackvue.
