@sudharman: actually I'm using my Mi Max 2 which has usb c port with a cheap micro usb to usb c adaptor and it works fine. Fast charge and all :)

You can, but I find this to be quite useless. It's built well but I've never found it helpful in any scenario.
My recommendation would be to spend the money on a wireless dock as the S7 supports it. My wireless charger is far easier to use.

I have several of these. They have been this price since I first saw them many months ago. I'm not sure I've ever seen them any other price. Each time I have bought something from these guys I throw another in the order. They are not perfect, but if you are like me and still using ancient devices with MicroUSB they are only five bucks.
The tray is strangely deep, so narrower devices may need something tucked in behind the phone to avoid undue stress on the connectors. The connector itself is also very short. There is a warning on the page that your device will need its case removed. I have used at least six different devices, and two of them won't charge even when naked simply because of the short contact on the connector. I currently have one of the docks in pieces in my workspace so I can see if I can find a semi-permanent fix for both the above issues.
Also, the USB cable is very short. We are talking like 200mm or so. There is, however, an extension cable included.
Cannot agree more, using it as a desktop clock and baby monitor stand. Connector is short and cases have to be removed!
very true, got it in previous sales, but used only once.
Note the rounded end of the micro USB is pointing to the front, too bad it can't be changed around cause of the way the cord is packed (I disassembled one to try to turn around).

If you have an old phone then you can use the charger and turn your phone into a surveillance camera. Even with the old phone, they come with the better camera than most of IP camera in the market.

Be aware that the usb plug position is not adjustable, it just tilts, so can put more strain on your device.
I plan to modify the dock so that my phone with the case on fits (I currently have to take the case off, because the connector doesn't go in far enough).

Price in title would have been nice, but good find nevertheless.
