    Sara Lee Ice Cream 1 Litre

    YES. I much prefer these over Connoiseur which are so dense it bends most of my spoons and the handle jabs into my palm so hard it hurts. And still I can only scoop small scoops at a time. It's just so frustrating.

    Sara Lee is creamy as opposed to dense, so it scoops with a normal spoon. I like the creamy taste better also.

    My favorite flavor is Strawberry & Cream. This one is exclusive to Woolies it seems. So I have to wait a lot longer between specials because when Coles does half price, they don't have this flavor.

      Interesting you say this… I have both in my freezer (right next to eachother) and the Connoisseur is the easier to scoop of the two.
      Ultra Choc (from Sara Lee) doesn't seem quite as chocolatey as it used to. IMO Belgian Chocolate (Connoisseur) the better of the two in chocolate ice cream shootout.
      IGA also stocks Strawberries and Cream.

        Hmm. Maybe it varies by flavor. I haven't tried Ultra Choc so I don't know. But every Conn flavor I've tried is really hard to scoop. And I've never had a hard to scoop Sara Lee.

        I'm also not a fan of Conn's flavors. I don't like Chocolate ice cream though, so that already means I will dislike half of Conn's range.

        I don't shop at IGA (there's none near me), so for me it's either Coles or Woolies. If one of them doesn't have it, I consider it an 'exclusive'. Thanks for the correction though.

        I love Conn's sticks though. They make the best sticks.

    Gotta say that I purchased some Mr Chen Prawn Hargow for the first time and cooked it with my usual KB Prawn Hargow for a tasting cook off.
    Got to say straight up that the Mr Chen brand was just blended seafood with a few bamboo like bits mixed in the dumpling. In comparison the KB brand was larger, had a much better, crisper and textured taste and I could actually identify individual prawns in my dumpling. I also preferred the sweeter taste of the KB brand over the MrC one.
    Not sure what anyone else feels about the MrC product range but for my the Prawn Hargow range was a fail.
