Where to Buy Ed Sheeran Tickets?

Looking to buy Ed Sheeran tickets for the upcoming Sydney show on the 16/17 March 2018. Can anyone recommend any good places/websites/companies to start?
Unsure if gumtree is a good option to begin where front standing tickets range from $200-500 each (confused as why this range is so big).

Thanks in advance ozb :)

Try the Facebook event page for the concert.

    • Will have a look cheers:)

  • Pre-sales and general sales were in high enough demand to crash the ticketing website.
I remember there were cries of despair around the office on the days of each of the sales.
Sadly, you will need to go through a ticket re-selling service like Ticketmaster Resale, Viagogo or StubHub.

Beware the reseller margin. Depends how badly you want to go.

For instance, I paid $400 for two tickets to the Bruno Mars concert which is happening the week after Ed, and comparable tickets are being sold on Viagogo for $1,424 each. Scary stuff.

    • Ahh thanks for your input, just looking at the prices on this website gives me anxiety!

I’d rather have my ear drums forcefully burst than listen to crap music like Ed Sheeran

You can have Tuzii's tickets then, OP.

      Brutal!

    • Most of the country wouldn't agree with you given he has had several of the top ten spots in the Top 40 all last year and so far, this year too.

People who like the top 40 are between 5-25.

        • The Top 40 represents sales amongst all age groups. Are you saying that only 5-25 year olds buy music?

Can you justify your opinion? Or is it just hate due to his success?

He is talented for sure, but the actual songs are so bland and generic.

  • I would try Gumtree.

Make sure you choose a ticket where the owner HAS NOT displayed the barcode in the picture (people can print it out and then scan them to get access - especially any GA tickets)

Make sure you choose a seated ticket.

Make sure you visit the person at their home residence.

Make sure you buy a physical ticket and not a PDF or one that's been printed from a PDF

Ed Sheeran is playing stadiums. That's like 50,000 minimum. I'm sure you will be able to find plenty of people who can no longer go and want to sell their tix.

    • Thanks for your advice, you're an absolute legend. Definitely gonna keep all these in mind when buying, didn't even think about people duplicating tickets and all that!

  • Ed Sheeran needs to go on tour again after his copyrighting infringement fines, lol.

    • Tell me more about this

Here or here. More of them, but that'll get you started.

        EG:

The lawsuit came two months after California-based musicians sued Sheeran for $20 million over his hit song “Photograph” in an unrelated case.

  • Is Ed Sheeran performing with a full band or is he cheaping out and doing the solo thing like he did last tour?

If so, Ed Sheeran playing in a stadium is the biggest money grabbing exercise there is. When I think of stadium shows, I think of extravaganzas like U2. This is a band that knows how to put on a stadium show. It costs them heaps and they may not make a huge profit on it but it's an experience for the fan.

Watching same ranga with his acoustic guitar on the big screen is pointless. He'd be better off playing arenas rather than stadiums.

  • Just so you know, they released more Standing Tickets :)
