Dewalt 18v/54v Drill Driver (DCD796T1)

Just got the drill today, open up the box and found the drill set, problem is that there is no shiny plastic wrapping sealing the box, it looked like it had been opened and repackage back, I try to upload some photos, but what should I do?
Added some pictures hopefully this works https://imgur.com/a/6a60R

  • Have you contacted the seller yet ?

    • Just sent them an email, hopefully they will reply

  • I bought one of these from Bunnings - pretty sure it didn't have any plastic wrap, just sticky tape one the ends.

  • When I bought mine from Bunnings i said to the guy that it looked like it had been opened already, so we went over to stack of them and all the cartons looked the same all roughly taped up. However the drill was complete and brand new

    • So I assume this is brand new and safe to open?
Interesting to see how they are package, seems cheap for an expensive brand, also looks like it can easily be stolen the batteries.

      • Yes this is normal. Open it and go.

  • It's a power tool. If it's used, it would show very definite signs unless it was pampered, in which case, it doesn't matter.

Mine has concrete, putty, deep gouges, paint… Generally well used and when I sent it in for warranty repair, the dude at Bunnings said it looks like I barely used mine and definitely qualified for a replacement.

I thought he was being sarcastic but he wasn't. Power tools are built to be (ab)used.
