  • Those ticket fees are a ridiculous money grab. Doesn't the ticket get emailed? What's the $6.60 for?

    • License fees for using their website for transaction~~

    • Actually, Ticketmaster often send a bunch of the ticket fees to the place that is organising the tickets. They work it out between them.

It gets advertised cheaper and Ticketmaster cops the bad press.

This is what the Ticketmaster CEO said.

    • Maybe cos they include transport to and from the game anywhere in Sydney metro

    • The $6.60 is to help maintain the website and apps. Do you think that was all developed for free?

      • do you think the cost of doing business per transaction is $6.60. Its robbery

      • Typical rates for IT industry.
        $100/hour Developer
        $150/hour Project Manager
Then you have licence fees for software, hosting, backup, hardware, office space, pay people to monitor phones, credit card costs.

There is more to selecting a ticket and printing it out.

All that silverware and they still need to basically give tickets away. Ah well, least they can boast having some local interest which is more than the AFL mob in Western Sydney can say for themselves >XD

    • It's actually a promo for youth players in affiliated clubs, not marketed to the general public, but keep those salty tears dripping down to the lower half of the table…

      • +1

All that silverware and what are your average crowd attendances? XD

        • -1

No idea and no care. How’s 6th on the ladder? I don’t care if only 3 people come to the game we are still top by 9 and staying there.

    • GWS is doing OK, due to the fact that they have the backing and support of Afl Hq.

Now if we can get FFA to actually advertise the aleague we wouldnt see clubs give away tickets like this!

      • If by OK you mean $500,000,000 spent to be booed at their home final against The bulldogs in 2016 and to have the smallest home finals crowd across both NRL and AFL 2017. GWS crowds make the Roosters attendances look good and to be fair to Easts they are in a city splitting a fan base between 9 top tier teams.

    Nice, $10 acting classes.

  • Thank you, scored two tickets. Guess I will be supporting Sydney FC tomorrow lol.

  • Thankss

  • Nice one, cant beat the price.
Got 2 tickets for me and my A-League crazy mate.

  • Wish there were tickets for games in Melb

    • Melbourne Victory had over 26,000 members last season. They don’t need to give tickets away.

  • Brisbane Roar need to try this, although with the current team not sure I still would bother.

Average attendance this season under 9,000, last season was over 14,000…

    • Average player age last season <30, this season >40. Bring your masking tape to stick your jersey number on.

Haha, pissweak. Essentially giving away tickets as can't get people to go. What a club.

      Agree

  • Scored 2 tickets, thanks. Does anyone know how the inclusion of public transport with the tickets works? Do I just walk on to the bus? How to go through the ticket barriers for the trains? Thanks

    • +2

Just flash your ticket to the bus driver, station attendant or transit officer that asks for a ticket.

      • Thanks for the response!

        • don't forget to keep the ticket for the trip home as well #RookieErrorsAvoided

Not surprised by the offer - terrible support base that only show up for derbies or against Victory.

    • -5

Does that jealousy of the best team in the league eat away at you every day?

      • +5

Jealous? Lol. I’m stating pure facts. Great team, with among the worst attendance in the league.

        • -3

Except that they have the 2nd highest average attendance after MV.

And even so, that’s like saying you don’t like their jersey colour. Ie, so what?

        • +1

          @sheikyerbouti:
Derby games and Victory is what boosts the 'average' compared to other teams. Aside from that, not even roaches will show up for the remaining season. So what? hence my point about cheap $10 tickets. Attract the neutral tight ass since your supporters don't bother with the team. Might as well.

        • -1

I really don’t get it. Like, “Your team is top of the league, holds all 3 titles, breaks records… but sucked in we get more people to games”?
Even if it’s true, what’s your point?

This is NOT a general public offer, for the third time. It’s a special offer to families of kids enrolled in affiliated clubs. I’ve reposted here for the piblic’s benefit, but without the password I posted it’s not available.

  • Thanks OP. We enjoyed the game with my son. Paid $26 for two tickets but ended up paying another $30 for a scarf :)

One thing I noticed you can sit anywhere you like within general admission. You don't need to sit in your bay because there are no barriers between bays and no one checks tickets. I was thinking if your ticket says Bay 16 you could only sit in Bay 16, no just get the cheapest ticket and go little early to choose your bay/seat.

    • Good stuff, come to some more games now that you've tried it, the next home game is a Derby which will be great. GA tickets can be used in any GA bay, eg 16 is a silver reserved Bay so they don't get you in there.

      • We were in 17 but there were lots of spare seats in 16 and 15. We could easily move to any 2 spare seats in 15 or 16. Once you're walking down the stairs it's up to you which way you go. Left is 17 right is 16 and only 20% of the seats are taken.

Same thing on the other side. Nothing's stopping you to move to empty seats in 33-35 if you have a ticket from 32.

        • Except when I show up with my reserved seat season pass and kick you out of my seats :)
