  • I've never shoppe from this store. What's the quality like compared to something like a Gazman/Country Road/SportsCraft - etc. Does it stack up? or do you think they're target basics level quality?

    • +8

The cheap (RRP $8) Uniqlo T-shirts are kinda garbage & aren't much better than Target quality but the Supima shirts (RRP $15-20) are excellent - I'd put them against branded stuff 3-4x the price any day of the week, so $9.90 is a bargain

      • Thank you!

      • +2

Wow, I actually feel the complete opposite- the $7.90 packaged tees are downright incredible (good fit, drapes well, perfect thickness), while I find the supima tees to be too thin, even if it ‘feels’ nicer to touch

        • -3

          Packaged shirts aren't 100% cotton. So…trashy.

        • I agree, I actually find the cheaper ones to be better quality…

      • I purchased the cheap-in-plastic $8 ones and they fit perfectly. I washed them 3 times now and they still fit great. Just not looking forward til the day the collar starts fraying and starts to wave.

    • +2

Ayyy nothing wrong with a target basic :)

    • Gazman/Country Road/SportsCraft quality are crap. I used to buy them but now I buy everything from uniqlo

  • +5

These supima t shirts are great quality

  • Wearing Supimas for work for about more than a year now, still in good shape. Nothing faded or stretched out. Bought on sale as well. Actually wearing one right now.

    • are they loose fitting?

If anyone needs a $10 off $50 uniqlo code just pm me.

    • Thank you!

    • What a playa!

    • Thanks!

Thanks guys and gals. I'm out of codes!

        • Just wanted to give a shout out to my man Red Hippo for the codes.

Does anyone know if the sleeves are a generous length? As in, more towards the elbow than the shoulder.

    • A smooth silhouette from the bust down to the waist, with sleek shoulders and armholes.

    que?

    • +2

The supima shirts I bought from Uniqlo have quite a long sleeve, definitely closer to the elbow than the shoulder. The shirts are also a bit longer than regular

    Thanks Op.

Picked up enough of the SIM cards to get free shipping.

  • Has anyone compared the quality to AS Colour Staple t-shirts? They have been my go-to t-shirts for the last few years and have held up really well.

    • +2

I prefer the AS colour. thicker feel, washes better and less see-through for the lighter colours. The uniqlo supima shirts feel softer though.

      • I haven’t heard of AS until now, where can you buy/try them on? Always after a good plain t shirt

        • culturekings, citybeach and AS colour themself

      • Which one of those two are longer in length?

        • +1

AS Colour are pretty long. I don't find them to ride up like cheap Cotton On or similar brand tops. However, they also sell a "Tall Tee"

        • +1

AS Colours new cut staple is definitely much longer than Uniqlos supima

    • Never tried AS Colour. Now I am interested! Always into basics tee and the likes. Will check them out.

      • +1

I did a lot of late night googling and forum hunting in search of the best basic tee. AS Colour has been the winner for me for the last few years. I just wish their shipping prices were a bit more competitive.

        • Thanks mate. They have a store here in Sydney, so guess we are lucky! (I have not checked their shipping prices). Their prices are not that bad either.

        • +1

@josu: go to culture kings its $50 for 4 as colour tees!

    • Can vouch for AS Colour. Can also vouch for Uniqlo.

    • Love AS Colour it has been my staple for years, unfortunately they keep changing the cut! Recently I bought 4 (1 grey, 1 black and 2 white) and the white are significantly tighter on the chest and longer than the greys, whilst the black sits between them, really strange. However the thickness and softness of the shirt is damn good.

      • Will check CK. But it looks like they have so many cut for their tees, and that could be the reason of the difference in the cuts?

        • No the strange thing is all my shirts are the Staple series

  • anyone else getting -" This product is currently out of stock?"

    • Yes, all the sizes and colours saying: "This product is currently out of stock." :(

      • it's working now :)

  • These are pretty light and clingy yeah? Need a hot bod to wear.

    • they are a bit, but you can just go a size up

  • Just curious, is $10 for tee a good bargain?

    • Not really, cotton on outlets have t bar tshirts for 5

      • +6

I'd say this is better quality and a nicer fit if you're slimish/athletic build. Seems to be hard to come by cheap and less 'boxy' clothes

  • can't find those body-fitting supima inner wear t-shirts for months!

  • I purchased 7 supima t shirts in Dec 16 (one twin pack + 5 single) with a pair of socks to get free delivery after $10 discount for new member. Be honestly, there is nothing to complain but there is nothing outstanding either. I wear them regularly, but don't get me wrong I have other t shirts as well. Besides I wear shirts to work, so I only wear t shirts during weekend and holiday as well as sometimes when I get back home. 2 of them have small holes around the neck now. They don't seem to be really durable but I feel comfortable when I wear them.

    Thanks OP! Great quality shirts

I'd rather get great quality AU made tees with much more ethical business practices for not much more than a $20 from Certton. Though I suppose I'm pontificating to the wrong crowd.

    • What site do you buy these at?

  • Size up for a looser fit. these tees are great. i do prefer the cheaper tees too funnily enough.

    • These Tees are bit tight fitting than standard Uniqlo size, right?

      • I think cause the cotton is a bit more softer is is a little bit more form fitting.. but i wouldn't say it's too different

  • I believe the deal has expired. Price has gone back to 14.90
