How to boost signal from 3G to 4G?

Signed up to the big Kogan 23GB plan after testing the signal at my three main workplaces. Unfortunately I quickly tested the signal by standing outside my office. Turns out once inside the phone’s data connection drops from three bars of 4G to two / one bar of 3G.

Does anyone have any tips for boosting it up? I’ve tried opening the window but that didn’t work.

Any suggestions are appreciated

Thanks :)

    Move

  • Haha ok done

  • Try knocking down a wall.

  • Hmmmm employer may not be happy. I googled a few things and it said to put my phone in a glass wtf

  • FWIW I have an iPhone X and try to hotspot to my MacBook with a USB cable

  • Can you test the sim in another phone at work and see if maybe the antenna in the iPhone X is broken or just weak?

  • Good idea. Will try

Some years ago I used a wok as a reflector and it was very effective in giving a signal boost of 4 bars. You just need to support the phone at the "focal point" of the wok, and point the wok in the direction of your mobile base station.

This sounds like a stitch up, but I’m ready to give it a go haha

  • Buy a case signal extender

  • Where from?

Depends how serious you are about improving your signal, and what model you have.
