Which 65" OLED or 75" ULED / LED TV ?

Hi all,

My 50" Plasma bought back in 2006 while still going strong is due for an upgrade.

Been really close to pulling the trigger on the 65" Panasonic 950 OLED, however, thinking on a 75" might be better as I have a fairly large space to fill.

I mostly just watch Movies, Sport (AFL) and the odd TV series - ie. not really any gaming. I've read that the 100HZ HiSense 75N7 can look a bit average on content not designed for 100HZ?

Any recommendations on what is good value and will meet my needs? Budget is under $4k. But, the cheaper the better as my AV receiver is on the blink so will be up for one of those soon.

cheers,

  • 75, bigger is better

  • Do some viewing tests of the TV's. You may find the non OLED models show grey in movie scenes instead of ink black like plasma and OLED

  • This was my exact scenario. Went in to buy a 75' Hisense, walked out with a 65" LG Oled. Do not look at them! Once seen,it is hard to buy anything else.
