Affordable or Company-Discounted Home Appliances

We just bought a house and settlement is in 45 days. Now, we are starting to look for home appliances as well as furniture.

I have a friend who worked at LG before and told me that they (LG employees) can buy home appliances direct from their company at a very-discounted price. There were instances where our friends asked him a favour to buy home appliances (e.g. TV, Ref, washing machine, etc.) from him because they were cheap than other shops.

He left the company last year so I cannot ask him a favour.

Anyone having the same benefits whom I can ask favour from?

Or do you know where I can buy affordable TV, Ref, Washing Machine, etc. and/or furniture?
