Thin TV (or Similar) for Shop Window Display

Hi.
Need some advertising displays for a shopfront.
The shopfront doesn’t have a large window display but instead has smaller rectangular window sections.
The windows also have bars inside, but I can remove those bars and should as they obscure the display.

Do you suggest getting a large custom led light box (go across 3 window sections) or setup a couple smaller TVs as advertising displays?
The benefit of the TVs is that it can play custom videos while the light box would just display static text.
However the TV and their stands can be a hazardous OH issue.

Is there another (better) product that is thin and can suit this purpose? I need something like the wallpaper TVs but they are too expensive.

Thank you.

  • Is your shop indoors? If not, does it get direct sunlight? Afternoon sunlight on a hot day can be nasty.

Shop is outdoors. But it is under awning and has no direct sunlight.

  • TV deals frequently come up here.

    I bought this one. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/356462

it's thin, i can measure it when i get home tonight. Teac website says 235 without the stand.

HOWEVER, the big issue is the stand, which unfortunately sticks out on weird angles. Depending on your clearance, it might be easier to use the shop bars for a rear fixed mount, and bolt that onto the bars.

Someone has already asked about the bars, strapping a tv to the outside might be …. errr tempting to an opportunist theft.

    • Yeah I was thinking of placing the tv between the window and the bars.
But I would need a very thin TV!
Or I can remove the bars, and place the TV on the window frame and secure the TVs with some custom bars or something.

  • Thought of a better idea. I just paint (or sticker) the window with our ads

  • Only thin TV that suits is the LG W OLED (wall-frame) edition http://www.lg.com/us/tvs/lg-OLED77W7P-oled-4k-tv as its as thin!

    +OLED good color, great blacks
+thin, power and connectors are in an external box
    +tax deduction

-OLED color bleed and burn in for on screen 'stills' so beware what content its playing!
-800nitts so ok but not superbright
-white on OLED is greyish, OLED do great blad and shit whites, like snow ect but for promotional purposes
-high price but hey its a tax deduction too so not all bad

LED/QLED dont suffer from these problems but QLED are as expensive and none as slim enough as they are not the one width, all have some back humpback but if you measure you might get lucky!
