Ryda / No Frillls eBay Cancelled 20% Sale Order

Purchased a Sony A7riii camera on their ebay store with 4/4 items in stock during an eBay 20% off sale.
There was no communication for 3 days after the sale and then my order was canceled with the reason given that they are "out of stock" and so is Sony Australia all across the country.

EDIT: Turns out there was a genuine misunderstanding about stock here and Ryda went out of their way to make sure I get the camera at the sale price. They genuinely care about customer service and I recommend dealing with them

  • I was in a similar situation a few months ago with Ryda when the wife bought a hair dryer. I complained to them and they gave me a $40 credit for my next purchase

  • I can go to the Sony kiosk or any other major camera store in Melbourne and buy the a7rIII right now

Store stock does not mean warehouse stock

Not much you can do but you can try calling them out on social media - facebook, twitter, productreview etc. and see if you get any traction.

    • definitely.
If they want to be sneaky and remove stock before an advertised sale, tough luck for them if they were late to do so

  • Is there anything the buyer can do in this case?

They have said they're out of stock. The order isn't happening, you can't make it happen. You got a refund, move on. It doesn't matter what you think about stock etc, they have said no stock, order cancelled.

  • With the 'roll over and surrender' attitude of some on here its a miracle anything ever gets done in this country.
Either they can reasonably access stock, or they can't.
Why don't you try FU Tube on the Checkout. Make sure you mention Ebay sale price-jacking while you're at it.
