Hey guys!
I'm planning to buy an Ipad soon and I was wondering if I should wait for the new generation that should out in about 2 months from now.
I was initially planning to buy the 9.7 wifi 32gb. I never owned one before, and I will use it mainly as a second screen for my computer and for consuming media.
Let me know what you think and why!

If you can wait for the new one, then you might be able to buy the older one cheaper in case you’re not impressed by the new generation when they come out.
I don't think there will really be much of a difference in the new model. Maybe a slightly different screen, maybe face ID instead of a fingerprint scanner but it will still run the same software and be able to perform the same tasks as the current model. Depends how soon you want one - if you really want one soon then just buy it not. If in no rush you may as well wait - worst case they release the new model, you don't like it and get the old model on sale.
How do you even know there is a new model coming out in 2 months? It is all rumours right? iPads aren't generally released on a tight timeline like iPhones
It's not confirmed but I just had a look at macrumors to check the average time between releases and the date of the last release.
But yeah you're probably right, I don't expect a lot of new features too, I probably just need to decide whether I need it right now or not
Tablet sales aren’t really increasing as people hang on to them a long time - they continue to work. A 2017 will still be fine when the next model releases :) halo375 makes a great point!
iPad Pro on the other hand… they’re more of a “upgrade each year for max power” device!
Any good deal for 128GB iPad 2017 wi-fi model? Haven't seen a good sale price in eBay (Myer, OfficeWorks, etc) for quite some time.
