  that's what you'll be hearing,

  i used to have a friend who worked at ticketet, and he said that tickets never sell out before the actual day when the signs say that they are sold out, they always have an 'x' amount of left over tickets things to be bought on the day, but those are more expensive then usual, to get cheap tickets, you'll probably best have to buy it off ticketet itself or others who cannot attend the concert, cut out and middle-man and go straight to the source, that way you'll be getting it cheaper, and also the placing of the seats at the concert varies the cost of it

  someone can correct me if i'm wrong, but wouldnt ticketek be a distributor of tickets? my guess would be that ticketek has contracts with the concert producers, so that they are the only distributor.

  Either way, you're best bet would be the producer themselves ir someone who cant make the event.

  Don't buy them off ebay!!! If you can't get them cheap elsewhere just pony up the dosh if you wanna go, don't get rorted by some scammer on fleabay! ;)

  FWIW, some of the coach/tour companies often get great bulk deals on tickets. For instance, King's Coaches in Newcastle get great seats & the prices are very good! :)

    The majority of tickets are sold at PRE-SALE. You need to register, then the promoter will advise you when they go up for sale.

    Here is just one place that you can get presale tickets, but there are literally hundreds.

    Only a few tickets end up being "released to the public" - all the dregs. The presale tickets are the good stuff that gets resold on eBay etc.

    For more info just Google for the term "presale" plus your desired artist, then limit the search to Australia only.
