Is It Worth Upgrading My Samsung S6 Edge 64 Gig ??

I'm considering updating my phone however I'd like to ask for some assistance.
I currently have a samusung s6 edge that I purchased before the release of the Samsung S7 for a great price. I previously owned the LG G2 which in my opinion was a real fizzer.

I'm looking at upgrading to any android device excluding LG… my price range is roughly $700 + inflation as that's what I paid for my Samsung s6 edge which has been great.

Also on a somewhat related topic, I'm getting full page pop up advertisements on my current phone which are highly intrusive and clearly a virus. Any help on how to remedy this?

Edit: Sorry should have mentioned I cracked my screen on holidays in QLD. It could be worse but its fairly obvious

Thanks

You haven't listed any problems with your current phone, so no. You can probably add the features you're after; e.g. long battery life, expandable storage, amoled/lcd screen, dual sim etc. And as for the ads, you can try a factory reset, just remember to back up your data.

Take a hammer and smash your phone, will solve both your problems

  • Maybe buy a Nokia 3310

full page popup is probably from peel remote. uninstall it if you dont use it

    • oh darn I uninstalled but I use that app to control my samsung TV :(

      • There are plenty of other remote apps you can use. If you must use Peel remote, get used to the ads, or get the Pro version

        • Can you recommend one that you can access without clicking into the app. Peel has the remote shortcut on the home page

@PAOK11: Almost all remote apps are going to have adds in some way, shape or form unless you get the paid version. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that why you're looking for an alternative?

If you're happy with Peel, get the Pro version to remove the ads.

        • @steff: Mmmhmmmmm I wonder why my phone doesn't come with a remote function from factory

        • @PAOK11: It does. It's called Peel Remote

        • @steff:oh lol

  • Out of curiosity, what didn't you like about the LG g2? It was the last good one imo before they introduced bootloops as a feature.

    • The phone was very laggy & underwhelming. As you can see I'm very clumsy & on that particular phone if you dropped it and broke the screen it required an immediate repair. You know how you see iphones that are falling apart but still work?? This thing would just be completely screwed and black screen

      • I dread that so I get a case for every phone I use to hopefully mitigate that issue. Sorry to hear you dropped it but I know it's probably due to its a sleek and thin plastic back. I can't say I experienced any lag though although it would differ from person to person depending on how you use the phone.
