For the people who were discussing the Bodum PAVINA TWIN WALL GLASS glasses I thought you might be interested in these. The store, I know of, is near South Melbourne market and I saw some in stock on Saturday.

However, people might want to look at this Product Review link before deciding to buy them.

    If you are just looking for twin wall glasses then for $41.95 Avanti Modena Twin Wall Glass 250ml Set of 8 are cheaper.

    However Pavina glasses are $67.95.

    • The avanti ones are much lower quality.

        Apparently the Pavinas aren’t that much better…

        • These reviews don't seem so good, many people complaining about quality. I think I'll stay away

          @bti_jet: that is a bit WTF isn't it. I always said that manufacturing could be outsourced because you had a product you could build to, but it sounds like quality is beginning to be discarded on the race to the bottom on price; at the price of safety. I will add the Product Review link.

          I have around 20 Bodum Pavina glasses, two sets of the 350ml and two sets of 450ml versions. I have only ever had one glass break in the last 4-5 years of using them. I havent noticed them being any more fragile than regular glasses. I would happily buy them again.

          @FuRyZ:

          The amazon reviews seem more positive…

          But that’s still a few who have experienced breakages.

        • @sillywalks: Well to be fair, they are still glasses, so best to not drop kick them hahaha. But I find it very strange that many people are complaining about the glasses shattering if you put extra cold or extra hot beverages in them. We use them for coffee every morning and they handle boiling water just fine. Our only breakage was due to one being dropped, which was going to be fairly un-survivable for any glass. I also regularly wash them in the dishwasher on a high heat cycle, no issues there either. Maybe I have just been extremely lucky with all the glasses I purchased.

          @FuRyZ:

          None of the reviews has any mentioned drop kick.

          Glasses exploding, I've seen quite a few at work. People sitting down at mess room and all of a sudden it explodes. So this can happen I'm guessing manufacturer defect.

          But there's more negative reviews than positive.

          For the people here that have had good experience why not leave a product review.

        • @FuRyZ:

          I remember checking out Target branded double walled glasses.

          My word they were thin. They felt like they would shatter just by looking at them.

          Glad to hear yours are fine.

    • Thanks for the heads up, only saw the 8 pack when I was in the store.

      • No worries

  • I would like to know how these will make my rum and coke taste any different than $1 glasses from K mart.

  • Negging, because cheaper elsewhere.

      I am a little confused. Is not $49.95 cheaper than $67.95. Even with $11 for shipping, thats still cheaper than $67.95.
