Aldi Workzone pressure washer compatible foam cannon & connector

Anyone bought the Aldi power washer?

I could not find any reliable info on what kind of foam gun/lance/cannon and what kind of connection is compatible to Aldi workzone power washers.

Not much info on google. On whirlpool, one person said it's Lavor connector but another person said it's not :S

Also I find this super load when using. Sometimes when I squeeze the trigger, water comes out delayed and during that period, the machine goes extra loud like high RPM, I think I'm annoying the neighbours. I checked the hose and water flow and it was fine.

thanks guys

  • On productreview.com.au there are 2.4 stars for this pressure cleaner. Most of the Aldi electrical stuff (pressure cleaners, power tools) are compatible ONLY with Aldi extensions/connectors/batteries (if and when available).
You have 60 days satisfaction warranty, and at least 1 year (some products 5 years) warranty.
With receipt you can return it to the store (preferably the one you bought it from) for full refund.

  • It is lavor.

Source: im the guy from whirlpool.

You can buy any 'lavor' foam gun from ebay for $25 and it'll work, however:

    • The lavor fitting i had that came with the foam gun did not fit in the aldi end of the gun for some reason. I had to file down the 2 locking surfaces to fit. Im not sure if this was just bad luck/poor machining on the foam lance brass fitting or if aldi didn't follow industry standard measurements.

    • I found that i have to unscrew the lavor fitting from the bottle a half turn when inserting it into the gun, and then tighten it once it was locked in. Hard to explain but you'll understand when you try it.

RE: the loud noise, that loud noise is air gaps stuck in the pump causing it to momentarily operate without water running through it which is very bad.

You need to PRIME THE PUMP before switching it on. This means turning the hose on (not the machine) and then holding down the trigger and letting the water pressure from the tap push all the air out.

You will notice it spits and spats for about 10-20 seconds, once it stops the air has been removed and the pump is now primed ready to be switched on.

EDIT: This pressure washer is quite poor quality, the flow rate is low (you will notice that it takes a while longer than the coin car washes to get the soam off because it simply isnt pushing enough Liters per minute.

It is also very loud as you have experienced. My neighbours one is dead quiet (i can see him washing the car but barely hear the pressure washer).

My advice is ditch the aldi one for a proper one, maybe one that comes with a foam gun so you can stop worrying about if it'l work or not.

    • thank you for the response mate, cheers

    • Hey ptenkae, I bought the Lavor connecter + foam gun from ebay for $25 and it works fine. Thanks for your help! I see what you mean regarding the foam gun not in line with the trigger, it's tilted unless I losen the fitting. the loud noise is fixed by letting a good amount of water out before using. I'll definitly upgrade if there's a good deal. cheers

      • All good mate, glad you got it working.

Same here, Ive been looking into a wall mounted unit that has an external soap feeder like this: http://www.backwoodshome.com/build-your-own-car-wash/

One that i can keep the water running and power plugged into so i can just drive in, pick up the gun and spray away and put it back in the holster when im done.

I found getting the leads out, the gun connected, the short 5m hose on the aldi PW all too cumbersome and fiddly to muck around with every week, hoping for plug and spray option soon.
