Website Remove Adds Instead Use Small Amount of Your CPU for Mining?

Here is a thought.

currently the internet is cluttered with ads and we are using ad blockers and anything else to stop them on our websites. What is instead of this we removed all ads from websites and instead the website used our CPU's for a short amount of time to mine for the website developer?

the website could even have a toggle or popup asking what you want to do "ad free with mining or ads"

It should be on a time frame basis say only using our cpu for mining for only 1-2mins so that it doesn't fully drain our batteries or even change its mining power depending on your battery %.

imagine FB without any adds and how much processing power they could harness worldwide.

I would have no worry about this if it is support the developer of the website and not some overseas hacker.

    Mining and ads are two different things.

    You're basically donating computing resources when a website uses your processor to mine.

    It costs you, the website visitor, money to mine for bitcoins as the extra load that is put on your hardware means you're generating heat and using more power. The costs you pay comes out in your utility bills and also the (very slow) degradation of your computer hardware.

    I block the ads anyway, I wouldn't want a higher electricity bill for no reason.
