    What's the movie?

    • Aliens v Monsters

just to be picky.. i think you mean "monsters vs aliens" :D

        • You are correct Silo. oops.

  • Is this an oversight, or are you profiteering on a Samsung offer (redemtion)?

    • It was an oversight in our purchasing department.

      • afaik those bonus packs were shipped 1 for 1 with a 3d tv.
Either samsung are dumping them (not likely) or you got a "bonus" pallet load by mistake maybe?

anyway the battery ones look cool
the rechargable ones just look nerdy

i have 2 of each type, the kids fight for the cool ones.

    • Yeah, weren't these the "bonus" packs that shipped with Samsung 3D TVs a couple of months ago?

      • Very sus indeed!

  • Why does it matter?

You getting a good deal at this price.

Only thing I don't like is that it is battery powered. I have a set of these and buying batteries is a bi@tch.

Pay more for the USB glasses.

    • How many hours goes a battery last in the glasses?

      • Hi Chris,

The battery model is said to offer about 400 hours of use.

        • Yeh, thats wut it says…..but mine lasted around 40 hrs of actual use.

Then again, I left them for a couple weeks and the battery seems to drain anyway without usage.

        • seijai - did you remember to turn them off between use?

        • Yeh, did turn off.

In any case, the glasses turn to standby once it is not directly facing the TV.

My USB ones were the same, battery runs out quick, but can recharge via computer which saves a lot of money.

Doesn't matter in the slightest to me, but be upfront about it.

  • Any deals on panasonic glasses ????

    • At this stage we only have a deal on the Samsung ones, but I will have our purchasing manager look into the Panasonic ones.

      • Hoepfully the purchasing department can overorder those as well. Woul dlike to see this deal for the Panasonic's, that's for sure !

  • I'll buy six

  • "Purchasing dept" - Maybe it's Samsung's excess stock which has been snapped up for resale.

"thrown together a special hamper pack" - I bet it arrives in the promo box Samsung gave away with 3D TVs over the last few months.

It's a good deal but it's being misrepresented.

  • Sneaky sneaky… these glasses don't cost the retailer anything, and they are given a $99 'retail' price to be given away with 3D panels.

  • do glasses make that much difference? between different tv brands? ive got a sony at home should i stick with the sony branded glasses?

    • Glasses are not compatible between brands. IE Samsung glasses won't work with a Panasonic TV. (Yes they even screwed that up).

  • Good deal I picked up some around this price second hand. They been going around $140 on ebay. Problem is if you just brought a 3D TV you get one set of glasses and have to wait 10 weeks for Samsung to send you more. They are extra extra slow in processing bonuses.

  • If you can get some Avatar 3D blurays you make a tidy profit. Seeing most 3D titles attached to bonuses only. Which is stupid as they trying to push the 3D TV although you have no content to buy. Shrek 1-4 in 3D just release for Samsung only as well. So only way to get most 3d blurays are ebay.

  • What are the real value of these? I mean they are so new and its almost intangible. Think of the salesman trying to sell the first faz machine…what is it worth and how do you use it when there are no other fax machines out there?
Lets see where these brand new whiz bang gadgets settle inn price before casting our +s.
