Best/Cheapest Place to Buy Transformers?

Best / cheapest place to buy transformers?

Looking to collect some childhood favourites, new versions and classic.

Been looking at https://www.thelittletoycompany.com.au/transformers-preorder…

Seems reasonable.

    Ebay

  • Nope. eBay with discounts for older loose figures. Masterpiece, go with a Japanese importer (Amiami, HLJ) or if you really want to save a dime, take a chance on a local like Premium Collectibles (be very careful, they ship well after others, you'll receive months or even years after your order, assuming it comes at all).

I can't stress enough, DO NOT go through Premium Collectables. Maybe in 2014-2016 but the owner has gone rogue and will take your money, not fulfil your order and will make you go through the banks to get your money back after he strings you along for months after the due delivery.

      • Hence, why I say it's a risk. I've received some orders on Premium Collectibles that were very prompt and quite a bit cheaper than importing, but others took months to arrive.

  • Toy R Us?

    Or for hard-to-find, try BBTS.

  • aliexpress bro

  • lawn sales.

For current releases Myer, Kmart, Target, Big W and Toys R Us all stock them and you can wait for sale.

    For older releases Ebay.

For ones not released in Australia then you need to import via Amazon US, BBTS, Robotkingdom, HLJ, Amiami etc.

LittleToyCompany is reliable but slow to get in stock sometimes. Do NOT go with PremiumCollectibles, search online for reviews and you will see that they are scammers.

Has anybody had luck with buying a megatron? Did customs seize or return?

    • Masterpiece Megs? Unless you have the license, customs will seize it. I lost one that way :~(

      • Is there another way? Transforming to robot mode make any difference?

        • I eventually got mine during a holiday in Japan. Separated Megs at the waist and had half in my luggage, half in the wife's. Not sure if it mattered in the end as we got waved through customs anyway

        • @RandomNinja:
Must remember that next time in Japan. You would've thought bbts would do the same. Thanks mate

    Thanks all

Definitely keeping an eye out for sales for the newer toys

Generally chasing the cheapest place for things like Masterpiece and other special releases and orders. As well as best places for older units.

Went to Mandarake in Japan and that was awesome :) Difficult to get them to ship to Aus

  • a little bit of background on https://www.thelittletoycompany.com.au

I haven't found anything cheaper than that website at all.

I am not affiliated with the site at all but I know the guy ever since I bought stuff from him from eBay years ago, he ended up making a proper website and his stuff is always the cheapest. Bought all my combiners from him from the Aerialbots onwards, Power of the prime, titans returns etc. I sourced my Voltrons also from him.

I am still waiting for the dinobots which were delayed alittle bit but all in all he is quite good.
