It depends a lot on how good the detailer can correct the paint and prep the car before applying the protective coating!…

Invest in a decent DA polisher (SCA has then for about $100 on special) and use a proper paint correction and wax system like Mothers 3 step. Fantastic results for a lot less

if you are going to do it, have at it, better off wasting your own time than paying for someone else’s. You would get the same end benefits you are looking for by just simply washing the car when it gets dirty and giving it a good waxing on its birthday.
