OnePlus 5T Pinch to Zoom Issue within Stock Gallery

Hi Guys,

I'm a new user to the OnePlus family, specifically the OnePlus 5T.

I have had it for one day so far and everything is working well except one thing I have come across- when in the gallery viewing photos and using the Pinch to zoom function, there is a lag to this action, or it's very slow. - a once off Cache clear and Force stop did help it for a moment, though it did persist after a short period of time.

Now the same thing occurs within Safe mode. However when using a third party Gallery app as well as testing within Google Chrome's browser, everything works fine.

I have tried researching, however, no forums have a solution and limited results.

I understand that I can just replace the stock Gallery with a third party if it's working fine as tested, however you'd expect the stock apps to perform to spec.

If anyone has experience with owning a OnePlus device with this issue I'd like to know what you did. Or what your suggestions for me are, the seller I bought it from advised that I can return the unit- however I would rather not as this causes downtime. If it is a known issue I will advise for an exchange.
