      I take it for inflammation and joint pain which is actually proven.
      The other possible (unproven) benefits would be just an added bonus (or not)

      I will keep taking it till the proven benefits to me are outweighed by any proven harmful ones.

  We used to take fish oil but who would of thought there's now a growing amount of evidence (studies) that refute the idea fish oil supplements are actually good for heart and brain health and that we are better off saving our money for a nice filet of salmon!     what research? and why would the fish oil cause that over taking the fish naturally is what I'm curious about?

    Wonder what this means for other supplements - i.e. krill oil? mutton bird oil, as I'm curious about using these for joint inflammation reduction.

      The oil in many of the fish oil pills could be oxidised, or spoiled.

        I'm guessing that would be something you would notice with the first bad pill you had. Rancid fish oil would be wicked!

        Unless they were out of date or stored badly, that shouldn't be a concern.
        Were you refrigerating them after opening?

        I dont think anyonr would notice a rancid fish oil tablrt. They're swallowed so you dont taste a thing??
