I usually wait for the 50% off new balance sales and stock up. Otherwise you just need to be on the look out. You can try Eastbay, they are usually pretty good but the shipping kills most deals from the US. No aware of anywhere thats always cheap.

Harvey Norman has had some intermittent sales. Provided you dont have weird feets sizes its a complete winner
I got my wife 5 pairs of runners (ASICS, Nike, Adidas) for combined price of < $150 with shipping. Yup, 5 pairs or running shoes for under $150AU.
Wife runs ~ 10km a day so it was a life saver
